1987 – Frankie and Annette, the two beach party originals, have grown up, “started a family”, and decided to visit their daughter (played by Lori Laughlin, and DAMN she looked good in a bikini in the 80’s!)
This was Annette’s last film before her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, and having her and Frankie parody their old surf films (and riding the “Humunga Cowabunga From Down Unda”) was classic.
And of course, Dick Dale, King of the Surf Guitar, playing “Pipeline” with the late great Stevie Ray Vaughn in one of his last performances ever, was classic.
So listen as we discuss a great, fun, parody film for the summer!
