The Sandlot/The Rookie Doubleheader

“You’re Killin’ Me, Smalls!”

This week, we go into another October doubleheader with some kids who play baseball in the sandlot behind “The Beast”, and discover a piece of history living in their town, in The Sandlot.

Then we jump to a Disney film based on a true story, involving the Houston Astros and a high school baseball coach who discovers that he’s gotten faster in his pitching, and becomes, well…The Rookie.
